Shipping an Item

To Ship an Item

  • It is the sole responsibility of the sender to obtain the account number to be charged and appropriate authorization for shipping or sending items for the University, regardless of the method used to ship.
  • All packages must be labeled with a CSUF mailing label or a reasonable facsimile.
  • Packages need to be taped with package sealing tape; masking or athletic tape is not acceptable.
  • A note or notation must be included on the shipping form indicating the type of service desired, the amount the item is to be insured for and the account to be charged.
  • Special arrangements must be made for heavy or bulky items that need to be packed in multiple cartons or crated. The Shipping Department can provide this service.
  • The U.S. Customs Agency requires the total declared value of international shipments. A complete description of the contents, its selling price or replacement cost, and the account to be charged will be needed for all international shipments. The form required by U.S. Customs is available through Shipping & Receiving.
