How do I recycle on campus?

PAPER, PLASTIC & BOTTLES
Place directly in your office or campus trash container; it will be sorted and recycled at an off-campus facility. To dispose and shred documents or confidential materials please contact the Facilities Management Service Center at Ext 3494.

Cardboard, aluminum cans and styrofoam
CARDBOARD, ALUMINUM CANS & STYROFOAM
Place directly in your office or campus trash container; it will be sorted and recycled at an off-campus facility.

Printer iconPRINTER & COPIER CARTRIDGES (ALL TYPES)
Place used cartridges into original packaging. Send small cartridges via inter-campus mail to Shipping & Receiving at T-1100. Contact Shipping & Receiving, ext. 2531 for pick-up of large cartridges.

e-waste iconCOMPUTERS, MONITORS, PRINTERS, LAPTOPS, APPLIANCES, CELL PHONES & ANY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Label each item as “working” or “not working.” Contact the Facilities Management Service Center, ext. 3494 and e-mail to wcc2@fullerton.edu to arrange a pick-up. Provide a list of items to be picked up, property tag number s if applicable, and location where items will be stored until picked up.

SMALL BATTERIES
Place used batteries into an envelope and send via inter-campus mail to Material Control Center at T-600.

BATTERIES (LARGER THAN D-BATTERIES)
Contact the Facilities Management Service Center, ext. 3494 to arrange a pick-up. Please also provide the location where batteries will be stored until picked up.

Contact Environmental Health & Instructional Safety, ext. 7233 to dispose of the following:

  • Paint, paint thinners, spray cans
  • Chemicals
  • Solvents (gas, antifreeze)
  • Fluorescent light tubes and bulbs
  • Lubricants and motor oil
  • Oil contaminated articles
  • Pesticides
  • Asbestos
  • Used respirator cartridges
  • Contaminated soil
  • Any product labeled toxic, poison, or flammable
